M2E-B 2025-2026 General Assembly: Two Days of Evaluation, Planning, and Mobilization for the Mission

The Baptist Student Ministries (M2E-B) held their regular General Assembly on July 10 and 11, 2026, in Abomey-Calavi. This important gathering brought together members of the Board of Directors, mission staff, and department heads around a common goal: to review the 2025–2026 fiscal year, set the direction for the coming year, and mobilize additional resources for the mission work.

Two Days Devoted to Review and Planning

The proceedings officially began on the evening of Friday, July 11, with a time of worship and prayer led by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, thereby placing this General Assembly under the Lord’s guidance.

The first session was devoted to the presentation of activity reports from several departments, including Bible Study, School and College Students, and Missions, as well as other key areas of ministry. These various presentations highlighted the many initiatives carried out throughout the year in support of evangelism, biblical training, discipleship, and the mentoring of school and college students.

On Saturday, July 11, the proceedings continued with reports from the Entrepreneurship, Communication and Media, and Finance departments. These presentations provided an overview of achievements, challenges faced, and opportunities for improvement in the coming years.

One of the highlights of this second day was the presentation and adoption of the proposed budget for the 2026–2027 fiscal year, a strategic document that will serve as a roadmap for implementing the organization’s various missionary and development projects.

Operation Gaius: Mobilizing Partners for the Mission

The General Assembly concluded with a special event called Operation Gaius.

Inspired by the biblical figure Gaius, commended in Scripture for his hospitality and faithful support of God’s servants (3 John 5–8), this initiative aims to bring M2E-B closer to its current and potential partners in order to involve them more deeply in the mission.

On this occasion, several guests attended to learn more about the M2E-B’s ministry.

The missionaries presented the organization’s vision, mission, and operations, while sharing the key results achieved in the field over the past few years. Participants were thus able to gauge the impact of the work carried out among students through evangelism, training, spiritual mentoring, and Christian leadership development.

Leaders then presented the 2026–2027 annual budget, outlining the various planned projects as well as the resources needed to carry them out.

In a spirit of partnership and shared responsibility, those present were called upon to become committed partners in the mission through their prayers, advice, and financial support. This outpouring of generosity will enable M2E-B to effectively continue its commitment to students and schoolchildren, in accordance with its vision of training disciples of Jesus Christ capable of having a lasting influence on their generation.

A New Year Marked by Faith and Commitment

This General Assembly thus marks the beginning of a new year of ministry for M2E-B. The discussions, evaluations, and decisions made during these two days provide a solid foundation for meeting the challenges ahead and faithfully continuing the work God has entrusted to the organization.

M2E-B expresses its deep gratitude to God for His faithfulness throughout the past year, as well as to all the missionaries, leaders, partners, and donors who contribute, each in their own way, to the advancement of this mission.

The organization prays that the Lord will continue to open doors, raise up new partners, and grant the necessary wisdom to all those who are working to ensure that more students and young people are reached by the Gospel and trained to become faithful witnesses of Jesus Christ.
