They talk about our ministry
Here are a few words from some of our partners and beneficiaries about our ministry.
Trained to Serve: The Ministry That Transformed Me
I had just lost my mentor—the one who taught me so much about Christ and led me to Him. It became necessary to change churches, so I returned to the local Baptist church, Réhoboth. Before fully integrating into the church, I committed to walking with God for a week. One day, while I was meditating in the basement, a few brothers from the church arrived to hold a meeting there. I quickly gathered my Bible and belongings to free up the space, but the elder brother who accompanied them told me I could stay.
So I stayed until the end of the meeting. They were discussing a ministry: the Ministry of Baptist Students. At the end, I was invited to attend their meetings from time to time to better understand their vision. In less than a month, I began working with them, having embraced the vision of M2EB-R.
In this local church, I found a family—a group where I felt at home, a place where I could learn and contribute. I saw an opportunity to gather future Baptist leaders and instill authenticity.
Later came the travels, and that’s when I discovered the broader M2EB—those from whom our brothers had seen the movement and wanted to adopt it. During these journeys, I learned a great deal about ministry; I felt deeply instructed and enlightened by profound truths.
The trainings organized by M2EB in Benin allowed me not only to gain knowledge of God but also to believe in Him even more and to serve Him, no matter the circumstances. I can mention trainings in missiology, leadership, and apologetics (the one that most strengthened my faith).
Through M2EB, I was able to continue my Christian formation from where my mother had left off. Even now, I can combine study and worship. Thanks to M2EB, I’ve learned to bring my peers to Christ, to guide them with certainty toward salvation.
Without going into too much detail, I can say that M2EB is no accident—it was part of my destiny. I cannot name those who have shaped who I am becoming without mentioning M2EB. My prayer is that God blesses this ministry and causes it to flourish, so that tomorrow’s intellectuals may be saved and eternally devoted to God’s service.
The training is not yet complete. I am confident that more steps are coming, so that I may become a fully equipped evangelist, devoted to the service of the Almighty through this Ministry of Baptist Students and Pupils.
M2E-B in Focus: God’s Response to Our Generation
Since its establishment in Mali, M2E-B—known locally as MEEBM—has been much more than a simple movement: it is a God-chosen instrument to touch hearts and transform lives. This ministry, born in Benin in 2018 with a burden for the loss of intellectual Christians in Africa, has found fertile ground here among us.
Although the team is not yet deeply engaged, we are already seeing young students take an interest in the ministry since the visit of Coordinator Richard to Mali.
God is using this ministry to reconcile lives with Him, strengthen spiritual journeys that are sometimes wavering, and raise up a generation of Christian leaders who are aware of their mission in society.
Personally, I am deeply impacted by the work of M2E-B and by the visit of Coordinator Richard KOBA to Mali. What touches me most is the way he succeeds in combining intellectual training with spiritual growth. In a context where many young people lose their way in the pursuit of academic success, M2E-B reminds them that true excellence only finds its full meaning when it is rooted in Christ.
