2025 CNEB Council Report

Gathering of Visionaries

From Sunday 23rd to Wednesday 26th February 2025, the CNEB Council convened at the UEBB Conference Hall in Ouidah. Over 30 regional representatives came together to reflect, plan, and renew their commitment to impacting students and communities for Christ.

Leadership & Strategic Planning

Missionary Richard KOBA led sessions on leadership and CNEB administration, sparking rich discussions and proposals:

·      Establishing CNEB representatives in every commune

·      Strengthening youth structures and encouraging student engagement

·      Renewing coordinators regularly for a fresh vision

A new leadership structure was proposed, emphasizing autonomy, strategic decision-making, and stronger ties with international student fellowships like SEBAF and BSF Nigeria.

New National Coordinator

After careful deliberation, Pastor Manassé OYEGBADE was elected as the new National Coordinator of CNEB. His installation was marked by prayer, encouragement, and a shared vision for growth.

Theme for 2025 National Conference

Following collaborative workshops, the chosen theme is:
“The Impacts of a Good Fellowship” (Acts 2:42 & Acts 11:26)

·      Pastor Delphin AKPLOGAN
Duration: 6 hours

2025 CNEB Conference Sub-Themes

For University Students:

·      Gospel & Prosperity – Missionary Richard KOBA

·      Leadership & Sexual Purity – Pastor Seth AINA

·      Managing Emotions – Missionary Raoul OGOUDEDJI

For High School Students:

·      Who Are You? – Missionary Privas Dodji GOSSA

·      Precious in God’s Eyes – Pastor Constant KAKPO

·      Touch Nothing Unclean – Pastor Manassé OYEGBADE

Remaining themes will be developed in the 2026 conference.

Entrepreneurship & Training

Two practical workshops were announced:

·      Entrepreneurship (5000 PLUS) – Missionary Henri ETCHOLOU

·      Graphic Design – Mr. Fènou Mardoché TCHOKPONHOUE

Future trainings may include poultry farming, soap-making, pastry, and agro-processing.

Games & Sports

Biblical games like “Face to Face” and “Sword Draw” will be led by Brice CAPO-CHICHI.
Morning stretches and inter-regional football matches are planned, coordinated by Constantin ADANHOUANDE and Pastor Seth AYENAN.

Budget & Logistics

Total budget: 156,000 FCFA

Participation fees: 5,000 FCFA (pupils), 7,000 FCFA (students)

Each participant receives a conference T-shirt

Estimated attendance: 132 participants + 30 international guests from 7 countries

Venue: UEBB Conference Center, Ouidah

International Collaboration

Nigeria’s delegation, led by Pastor Joshua S. IBUKUNOLUWA, shared insights and announced their own conference dates: September 2–6, 2025.

Looking Ahead

Proposal to shift the CNEB conference to September and the council to July

Pre-conference leadership training: June 30–July 2, 2025

Launch of the 2026 ZOU-COLLINES bureau

Artistic presentation by Olivier AKOHO: banana-leaf hats and ninon-thread wigs

Exhortations & Encouragement

Spiritual encouragement came from Missionary Henri ETCHOLOU, Pastor Seth AÏNAN, Frère Amour ZANKOUKOU, and others. Deacon Arnaud DEGUENON emphasized relevant youth engagement strategies and the importance of knowing the Baptist roots.

Final Reflections

The council concluded in a spirit of unity and purpose. With renewed leadership, clear direction, and a heart for discipleship, CNEB is poised to impact campuses, churches, and communities across Benin and beyond.
