M2E-Baptiste International Training Tour: Mali & Senegal 2025
Mobilizing, Equipping, Impacting the Next Generation of Christian Leaders
From May 25 to 30, missionary Richard KOBA led a strategic training tour in Mali and Senegal, focused on strengthening student ministry within the Church. This mission, rooted in the theme “Called to Impact: Understanding and Building a Student Ministry at the Heart of the Church”, marked a turning point for youth leadership and discipleship across West Africa.
Bamako – Formation & Awakening
Hosted by Bethel Baptist Church, the Mali session gathered students and church leaders for two days of impactful teaching:
- Identity in Christ and the vision of M2E-Baptiste
- The role of fellowship in building fruitful ministries
- Strategic distinctions between youth ministry and student ministry
- Church structures as partners in student outreach
- Resource mobilization for campus evangelism
Richard KOBA also preached on Proverbs 22:6, urging the Church to invest in its youth as the foundation of tomorrow. The atmosphere was marked by spiritual hunger, openness, and a clear call to action.
Senegal – Strategic Partnerships & Expansion
Arriving in Dakar on May 27, Richard met with:
- Alliance of Baptist Churches of Dakar: A strong partnership was formed to launch student ministry training in Senegal.
- IMB rural missionaries: Expressed need for M2E-trained youth to support outreach in remote areas.
- CUMEL (University Evangelical Mission Community): Explored collaboration to strengthen campus evangelism.
- Thiès Baptist Leaders: High-level dialogue on integrating M2E-B into existing church structures.
These meetings laid the groundwork for future trainings, regional mobilization, and unified efforts to disciple students across Senegal.
